Three little BOYS...
would have been fun BUT we are thrilled to announce that it's looking like this one's a GIRL! SO FUN! I say "it's looking like" because the technician was not 100% certain and recommended that we ask for a follow-up ultrasound a few weeks from now. However, I have seen two little boy ultrasounds and this one certainly seemed different! We'll let you know if things change but for now we're going for the "It's a GIRL!" announcement! Yay!

Home Depot Kids Workshop
The first Saturday of every month Home Depot hosts a free kids workshop where kids and parents can come and work on a project together. We've gone to two of these workshops so far and plan to go to more in the months to come. On Saturday the boys and I made bird houses together and back in October Daniel and the boys built firetrucks together. It's cute because each kid gets their very own apron to wear (and take home!) and when the kids finish the project they get a pin to attach to their apron.

Just for Fun
We've been thoroughly enjoying the beautiful spring weather that we've had lately. We've been outside SO much and the boys love it! Here's my cutie patootie wearing his big brother's wild sun hat.
Aden's favorite sand box activity is making "birfday cakes" and "pupcakes" by putting sand in his buckets and cups, sticking candles (a.k.a twigs) in them and bringing them to you as gifts. So sweet!
My little monkey man on the jungle gym at our favorite park. He could play on this structure all day!
What's wrong with this picture?I was reading this book to the boys the other day and just started cracking up when I got to the letter "N". Thankfully the boys can't read yet because this could have been quite confusing for their little minds.
Well, what can you say, it WAS printed in China! Clearly it ended up at the Dollar Tree for a reason =)
And to think I've been disciplining the boys for flattening all the potted plants! Now I have reason to think twice if the kids ever say, "Girl Kitty did it!" when I ask who's responsible for this or that naughty thing!
At least Jon Jon was smart enough to sit in an empty pot! He's thinking, "Hey kitty, where did you go in such a hurry? Don't you like it when I grab your fur and pull it?"
Hmm...I wonder which pictures Mommy colored and which ones Aden colored?Tuesday, March 31, 2009

Grandma's Visit
We had absolutely beautiful weather while my mom was here...sunny and warm (70's & 80's)! We had lots of fun together and spent most of our time outside. It was great!

On Wednesday we spent the day in Santa Monica. We picked up some fresh fruit and veggies at the Farmer's Market, strolled along 3rd Street window shopping, ate lunch at Johnny Rockets, and then headed to the beach for some fun in the sun and sand.
My sweet mom with my sweet son.
My other sweet son =)
I liked this picture because Aden's t-shirt fit so well with the scenery and the weather =)
Jonathan just plopped his little body next to a group of girls building a sand castle. They were good sports about him "helping" although I'm sure they were thinking, "Who is this kid?"
I didn't think to pack towels...who knew the boys would actually be getting in the ocean! Thankfully we had the Mexican blanket...it came in handy for drying the boys off and keeping them "decent" until we could get to the car where the spare clothes were.
This isn't the greatest picture but it was the best one we got of all four of us that day.
On Thursday we took the Metrolink from Canyon Country to Newhall. The boys were thrilled to get to go on a train ride. Once in Newhall we walked to William S. Hart Park and spent time hiking up the nature trail, taking a peek at the park's bison herd, and visiting with a few of the barn animals. We also saw lots of lizards and Aden even got to watch the park's gardeners use their weed whackers! Oh boy!
The boys were enthralled by the train. Up close it is much larger and much louder than you'd think!
Here we are waiting for our homebound train and experimenting with the timer function of my camera. It was propped up on the stroller hence the crooked shot =)
